Drum Melting System
These systems facilitate the transfer of bitumen—transported to facilities in drums—into the processing system by heating it.
Drum Melting Systems transfer heat, supplied by a thermal oil boiler, to the drums.
Drums are loaded into the heating chambers using a dual-hydraulic system. As the inverted drums move through the chamber, the bitumen inside them drains into the transfer reservoir.
The bitumen accumulated in the reservoir is transferred to bitumen storage tanks via a bitumen pump.
To ensure energy conservation, all exterior surfaces are clad with rock wool.
Protection against corrosion is provided by covering the exterior with aluminum sheeting.
