PRODUCT CATEGORY
This machine determines the deformation of bituminous material by measuring the depth of the rut caused by the repeated passage of a rolling load—at a fixed temperature—over a sample compacted in a mold, in accordance with standard EN 12697-22.
General Features:
• Two smooth-tread (non-patterned) wheels.
• A pneumatic cylinder applying a 5,000 N load.
• A system for moving the wheel longitudinally over a distance of 410 mm at a frequency of 1 Hz.
• Mold holder for the pre-compacted sample.
• Assembly housed within an aluminum profile structure forming a temperature-controlled chamber.
• Capability to perform research-grade testing thanks to numerous adjustable parameters (temperature up to 80°C, number of measurement stages, measurement point locations, threshold adjustments, etc.).
• Continuous measurement of sample deformation caused by the wheel`s action on the material using a displacement sensor.
• Device equipped with 3 displacement sensors to measure rut depth after each series of cycles.
• Automatic measurement eliminates the need for monitoring and manual intervention at each measurement stage.
• Option to pause the test at any time.
• Dedicated software for setting test conditions (chamber and specimen temperatures, table movement frequency, etc.) and for real-time graphical monitoring of rut depth progression over time.
• Computer-controlled.
• Requires a compressed air supply (dried and filtered).
